For the witching hour descends, and ‘tis the time of night
That graves, all gaping wide,
let forth their sprites
In the church-way paths to glide.
Stumble through the fairy circle and join us down the darkened paths for A Midsummer Nightmare: an unsettling descent into the mad world of fay.
The fairies weave spells, drawing you further into the woods. Once familiar paths now twist around you, and the stories you thought you knew now invoke terror. What strange creatures will you discover lurking around every corner? And what will happen if they trap you here forever in the fairy realm?
This 30 minute Shakespearean horror experience moves down the paths of Mount Tolmie. We invite you to walk with us and listen closely to words taken directly from Shakespeare’s canon that become more and more fractured the farther you wander. Please come dressed for the weather as the experience is entirely outside and will run rain or shine.
This outdoor walking experience is a fundraiser for the Greater Victoria Shakespeare Festival, done in collaboration with Alectoria Productions-- come see some familiar faces as they perform amongst the darkened trees. All proceeds go to supporting the artists involved during our winter months of slumber.
